Baylee moved to Morro Bay in 2016 and started managing a restaurant in San Luis Obispo. Meanwhile Josh a.k.a. Archie had been managing a sister restaurant also downtown.

They got to know each other at "manager meetings" and while hanging out at the mutual businesses. Baylee would persistently ask shy Archie about his history and create the foundation of interest in each other. Baylee was developing an admiration and friendly love of Archie. Archie knew that Baylee was important to him and, although he started to crush on her, he knew that work relationships were best kept to friends.

They would see each other outside of work and both say they should hang out, although life, work and circumstance would often get in the way.

The years went on and after Baylee had left the company the two of them remained friends.

Late one night in late 2019, Baylee replied to an Instagram story and her and Archie finally committed to hanging out.

2020 -After several dates full of laughter, B-movies, tacos, drinks and long dog walks and long talks; Baylee and Archie were official. They kept each other happy and in good company through pandemic; they came to each other's side in times of sadness or pain; & nursed each other back to health during times of recovery.

When Baylee and Archie moved in together with their dog and bearded dragon it was obvious they had found the family they both wanted to keep for the rest of their lives.
